According to the following article, the U.S. will invest $2 billion in solar energy.
Over the weekend, President Obama announced the Department of Energy would be giving almost $2 billion in conditional funding to two solar energy companies, Abengoa Solar and Abound Solar Manufacturing. (Read the entire article here)
Despite my views on global warming, the fact that more than 5000 jobs will be created is a good thing. Alternative energy will become the predominate source in the future, but we need jobs now.
