Sometimes things aren’t as they seem. I talk about building your own solar panels and wind generators for your home, but I just like the thrill of building something that works.

The most common misconseption that I want to touch on is generating more energy than you need and selling the excess back to the power company.
Sorry, not going to happen. You would need more than one solar panel or wind generator to power your whole house. Many more.
The author goes on to recommend magnetic generators. I have to admit that I know very little about those, but I’m curious. I want to do a little research on them and get back to you.
In the meantime, I’d like to know if any readers out there have any experience with any of these devices or plan to give it a shot.
